Our History |
In 1987, I was required to
write a Curriculum Vitae projecting 10 years into the future, as part of
the selection process for a training in bodywork. At the time I had a
dream of founding a holistic education centre, bringing together
teachers, therapists, and counselors in various disciplines and fields,
with the common goal of Self Knowledge and evolving a lifestyle, for
ourselves, our children, and our brothers and sisters all around us,
that reflects and reinforces this Knowledge. Five years later, (1992),
my dream was realized in the co-founding of Heaven and Earth Institute
with Deep Priya, a gifted yoga and meditation teacher, in Montreal.
In the 17 years that followed I was blessed with the privilege of
sharing the transformative gifts life has offered me with many dedicated
students and clients. This experience inspired me to create Divya Yoga,
the Divya Yoga Teacher Training, Yogic Lifestyle Counseling, and several
courses, workshops, and retreats that were part of this evolving
process. I am particularly thankful for the encouragement, support and
perspective I received from Chantal Perrier, my spiritual friend and
co-teacher in the last 8 years of this journey.
An important aspect of
this work is the marketing and management of the business side of
things, which was not my forte. After
years of wishing I had someone to take care of that for me my prayers
were answered when one of my students, Mary Dunlop, offered her capable
services to me. Thanks to
her constant commitment to produce a quality website, to maintain it,
and to make sure that all inquiries were attended to promptly, business
was taken care of, and we all benefited greatly. Well, it is now the Spring
of 2009 , and it is now time for me to take a sabbatical for an
undetermined period of time, so our Centre in Montreal has closed and I
am moving to live full time in my country home in the Laurentian
Mountains. Chantal Perrier is also taking a sabbatical, but we both
intend to continue offering one of our favourite activities in these
next few years: annual Meditation
and Yoga Retreats. As for Divya
Yoga, my new Divya Yoga DVD Set will soon be
released and available to order through this website.

Mission Heaven and Earth Institute
has closed but my mission remains the same: to Know my Self and to
realize a lifestyle that reflects and reinforces this Knowledge in
myself and “others” who share this quest with me. People
ask me: “What will you do?” In
the absence of my teaching responsibilities, administrative duties and
professional services, I will dedicate myself to living more simply and
furthering my practice of a lifestyle that honours my mission. How that
manifests remains to be discovered! In Oneness,
